The place where Failure is not an option !!! @cuisinerouno

The place itself is more than just a vibe of hype!!!

One may perceive the place is closely akin to that of others or the food is meh — an expression of indifference and mild disappointment once you lay your eyes on it.. Or be regarded as nothing exceptional since one has already been to many places and had tried a melange of stimulating food. Personally however, what i opt to see is an amalgam of character… not just of the place and of the food, but most especially the congregated bunch creating the team. They must be the Crackerjacks of passion, the drive and the conviction to rise up to the top. And I am extremely proud to witness the lofty, commendable resilience and tenacity that The Team behind this newly opened restaurant perdure despite the odds and the challenges of circumstances.

Hail to the greatest!!

P.S , the Fantabulous of the place and opulent food are luxuriant at its best!!! 😉

A Magical Kingdom

The Hobbiton Movie Set was a significant location used for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and The Hobbit film series. It is situated on a family run farm about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of Hinuera and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southwest of Matamata, in WaikatoNew Zealand, and is now a Tolkien tourism destination, offering guided tours of the set.

Imagine my surprise that such place does exist! Most of the times, set locations are if not inside an establishment, it’s all are graphics and special effects.

The scenery brought me back to my childhood days. At an early age, we are captivated by beautiful characters and enchantments of mystical creatures which are subsumed under such spell-binding books. It conforms an idea of a beautiful and compelling life due to its prose narrative descanting on our beloved and imaginary characters as emblems of strength, beauty and a divine influence.

As a child, the night is invariably and evidently anticipated owing to a promise of more enthralling lines of pure mystique. And day by day, we are ravished by our suicidal ideation of contrivances that do not fit our daily lives. Nonetheless, we still believe. Its verity may have been erroneous and yet, we entrust our ourselves to such hope. Hope of being able to live our lives with prosperity and a certainty for a pure and true love to obtain.

As the time passed by, we grow older and become more knowledgeable about what type of world we live in. Others live in despondency and pessimism, condeming such plethora of ineffectual reflection of such portrayed emblems.

While others endeavor with their might. Reckoning each day with vigor and resilience, with such growth aliking to a conviction of a Knight and a beauty of a Deity.

The famed Crater Lake in the Philippines

I may have travelled across the globe, have seen different places and experienced different bristles of fervor and yet, one of the things i hanker for is the equanimity of a place that only Mother Nature could induce in me.

Philippines is best known for its best nature trips and white sand beach. A partisan perhaps but we do implicitly have its ample and bounteous Natural Sceneries.

One of its kind is the Pandin Lake, a crater lake and one of the visited places in San Pablo Laguna where you are able to dine in a Raft while it is being propelled to its terminating post, be able to swim (Life jacket is provided wether you do swim or not, might as well make the most out of it 😉 and be vitalized with such endearing vista for 3hrs.

HOW TO GET THERE?

  • From Manila – Ride a Jac Liner or any bus bound for Lucena in Buendia/Kamias Bus Terminals. Alight the bus in SM San Pablo then ride a jeepney to San Pablo proper. Walk from the final stop inside the public market to 7/11 located near the church and ride a jeepney going to Ilog. Alight in Brgy. Sto. Angel, just in front of the entrance to Pandin Lake which you would easily notice as it bears the sign with PANDIN LAKE written in bold and huge letters and the Mayor’s face sitting next to it. Choose whether to get a local guide (not necessary unless you want to give a local child his baon come school day) or simply ask them for directions to Pandin Lake and walk on your own (very doable).
  • From Alabang – Ride a bus bound for Lucena and alight in SM San Pablo. Fare is P98. Follow remaining steps above.
  • From San Pedro, Biñan and Sta. Rosa – Go to Balibago complex. Ride a van to going to San Pablo City. Fare is P75. Follow remaining directions above when you get to San Pablo.
  • From Calamba, Los Baños, & Calauan – Ride a jeep or a bus going to Sta Cruz. Once in Sta Cruz, ride a passenger jeep to San Pablo. Follow remaining directions above.
  • From Dasma and Pala-Pala – Ride a van going to Sta. Cruz. Once in Sta Cruz, ride a passenger jeep going to San Pablo. Follow remaining directions above.

To get to the place however is a feat. Kudos to http://www.awanderfulsole.com for her explicit directions. Checkout her instagram account @wanderfulsole for more details.

I am not from Manila and i had failed to be cognizant about the ins and outs of the place itself. My eyes only riveted espying on people flourished in freewheeling milieu of a modest life.

Anyhooz… such laborious effort necessitates energy nonetheless, i was galvanized with the idea that they do serve food too. Come on! A majestic panorama and food is a Utopia! 😀

A quenching and palatable budget meal to chow consists of local food such as grilled fish, fern salad and a bottle of water for only P360.00. An additional of P20.00 for a pork belly barbeque wouldn’t be an excessive, would it?! 😉

Otherwise, for P180.00, you would be beholden to a sight that makes you marvel how magical the place itself. Surety, you will lost track of time owing to its enthralling scenery.

The aggregated amount will then be utilized to aggrandize its social and cultural conditions hence, brings forth ascendancy bested by its flamboyance and conspicuous influence.

A depiction of my own perhaps may be overweening from your own perspective, you may have seen more surreal and magical picturesque albeit, it doesn’t matter… so long as we all have embolden ourselves to travel more, see different places and knowing how to live. Being a daredevil, it enables us to extinguish such daunting repugnance of living life in mediocrity 😀

A reminiscence of my first visit in Seychelles….

Things i planned to do after a 4hr-flight from Dubai to Seychelles;

1.) Sleep all the way through wake up call since it is just 17hrs lay over (technically 15 or 14, duh!)
2.) Have a meal in my room (even prepared and packed some food for i was told it is better to do so).
3.) Nestle with ill-fitting and inodorous pillows (no choice)

As soon as we landed, fortuitously, we were informed that due to power shortage apparently, another hotel accommodation was provided for us… As tired as i was, adamant and was swoon from a sleepless night, i didn’t seem to care (doesn’t really matter as i had my own agenda, does it?)

We boarded in the bus, travelled for at least 45 minutes, dozed off and woken up by the other crew with their indistinct noise.. distressed and weary, i opened my eyes forcefully.

Finally arrived, I was magnetized…The place was breathtaking!!! a place aboveboard!!! Enticed by its impeccable physical entities, instinctively, an adrenaline stimulated my autonomic nerve action, i was high..

Instantly, an inner part of myself lurched abruptly trying to execute its sole purpose, channelized myself for a better motor response, I was modified.

Yaking profusely while waiting for our assigned rooms to be given, stupefied by the blow.. a sudden feeling of remorse brimmed over me.

I hurried myself getting inside the room, checked my suitcase only to find winter clothes – less a pair of boots and a winter coat – damn! typical crew ei?! just settled for what’s in it.. ground? an unfathomable indolence! Oh well, as long as i still had some clothes to wear on. Nonetheless, i was frantic for i was able to find my camera , took it out and recharged it.

Inclined to discover more, i got dressed up and walked out blissfuly. I saw one of the crew gone for a swim, beaming at her, i asked.. “how’s everything?!” she then cut me off, gave an immense spoil!!!

She asked me if i did get the new infos from the Captain himself. “Duty has been changed, wake up call would be @ 10 pm”… (FYI, we arrived @ 3pm-ish, planned to meet up with the rest of the crew for dinner @ 6PM, supposed to be picked up @ 6:45 am the next day). What the heck??! already done tramping my list, determined to becharm once more yet an unexpected course just happened?

Gradually, my archetype self became apparent. The mental-induced agent had worn off dramatically and was unfortunately back to my automaton mode.

Still took few photos, went back to my room and slept. A call woke me up @ 7pm confirming the duty change, it then became 1am wake up call and pick up was @ 2. At least, an extension of 4more hours was regarded. Tried to sleep to a greater extent, i did manage though till 12 midnight and still, had half an hour left to suck up everything.

By chance, i was back to my original plan. Slept through wake up call ( a shorter time though), a packed meal quenched my physiological need for food. For the last one, chuck it out… its evidently excluded, the bed and all the pillows turned out to be so comfy and cushy but even so, i didn’t have the time to relish its usage for.

On the contrary, optimism empowers me. Rather feeling bad, cognizant of possible things to pass off, i was satisfied. Pampered and unstrained in a stunning, strikingly impressive place was more than over-the-top experience i could count for, plus i got to go home 7hours earlier than the supposed 2pm schedule of arrival.

Oh!!! what a life??!! 😉

Myself and I…

NOT UNTIL YOU ARE HAPPY WITH WHO YOU ARE, YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE…”

— Life is all about a course of an incessant quest for a profound happiness within. Sadly, we tend to cling on to the fleeting joy of the worldy accretions and once its all gone henceforth, we live life with despondency. We tend to overlook the simplicity of life by our selfish inclinations and amidst all that we have, still its not enough.

— Being grateful of all that i have is what makes me profoundly happy. I have learned to let go of all the things i don’t have the control of instead, i focus more on my self and spiritual growth. I live life with my principles, values and virtuous ideals and try as i might, i do not deviate from such path. At times, i am challenged and tempted to stray away from my purpose nonetheless, i live with the consequences and blame no one but myself as the causative factor of such mistakes and failures. As the aftermath, i learn more from the experience and ensure deliberate thoughts of my tendencies the next time.

— My life is perfectly imperfect. I endeavor to live it with utmost optimism and live day by day with the best version of me. I may have failed most of the time, what matters most is i persevere in every attempt of my self- discovery and to prevail from it will then self be emancipated and life worth living.
